Cranberry Township Code of Ordinances
Laws enacted at the municipal level in Pennsylvania are known as ordinances. This document contains all the ordinances ever enacted by Cranberry Township as well as their current status.
The Code is organized into four sections:
(1) Chapters 1 through 27 contain the current ordinances of the Township.
(2) The Appendix lists all ordinances of a temporary nature.
(3) The Key shows the disposition of each ordinance ever enacted by Cranberry Township .
(4) The Index is an alphabetical arrangement of subjects.
Chapters are alphabetized by subject matter. Only 17 of those chapters currently contain ordinances; ten others are being reserved for possible future legislation. Specific ordinances are listed by subject on the contents page at the beginning of each Chapter.
Use the Index to search for information on a particular subject if you don’t know which Chapter to look in.
The Appendix includes several chronological lists of subject descriptions along with a reference to the original ordinance and its date of enactment.
The Key to disposition indicates what action has been taken by the Board of Supervisors with regard to each ordinance. Specifically, every ordinance has either: A) been repealed; B) been superseded by another ordinance; C) kept current and located in a Chapter of the Code book, or, D) lapsed and is located in the Appendix of temporary ordinances.
Annual tax rates and budget ordinances appear only in the Key. This is a cross reference to the original ordinance books of the Township of Cranberry, and to the location of each ordinance by number.
